Day 143 – The Project Gets A Lift

Well, it’s been a while since Donna got any attention. We made an attempt to get Donna onto the body dolly while she was in the driveway…

We got the front end jacked up high enough to get the dolly under and mounted. Then we looked at the rear end and realized we were going to be in serious danger trying to jack the back up and drop the rear end on a slope. We took the dolly out and replaced the front end parts and then she sat in the driveway while we went on vacation and did a bunch of other stuff.

Then last weekend we pulled her up onto a car hauler trailer and brought her to my work. Once she was unloaded and pulled into the fleet bay, we got her up on a lift and got back to work:

We removed the exhaust,

then took off the hood

and finished the evening by dropping the transmission:

Next work day will see the engine pulled and the rear end dropped so the dolly can be mounted and we can roll her into the garage where the rest of the dismantling will occur.

GOAL: get her completely stripped by Thanksgiving.
