Electrical

The electrical system in a car starts with the Battery. Donna originally had an Autolite 24F battery. While Autolite batteries are no longer available, there are many options for the very ubiquitous and popular Group 24F battery. We can even get a battery “topper” that makes your battery look like an original Autolite.

Donna’s Wiring Harness is over 50 years old. Wires get brittle and the insulation gets hard causing it to crack if the wire is moved. While we found very few places where the wiring had been altered or cut into, for the reasons above we are going to replace the entire wiring harness. We chose Painless Performance wiring systems because they have great reviews and provide a harness made specifically for the 69/70 Mustang, including correct connectors and sockets. While we run the new harness we can add circuits for the sound system, the electric fuel pump (including a safety cutoff), relays for the halogen headlamps, and anything else that needs to be updated or changed.
